Spokane Washington today. Great town. Crowd was awesome! Shared the stage with a new band, Worth Dying For. They were great. Check them out. Good high energy worship songs and they are plugged into local church ministry. Good stuff

Bozeman rocks!

With the many winding trails here in Bozeman montanna, it would be easy for weary hikers - dizzied by the altitude and dry heat to lose their way and be lost in the wilderness. If it were not for the ruggedness and keen sense of direction of our fearless guide, juan... We could have been lost forever. Even Hector lost his way on a little photographic exploration. All would have been lost if Juan would not have snatched Hector his watery doom with his trusty walking stick.

Just reliving this now gives me the chills. Guess it's still so fresh for me. Need some time before I talk about it again.

If I lived here I don't think I would ever go indoors. Beautiful place. Wonderful people.

Juan is the king of the north Dakota state fair!

We are here!

Well we got on the plane and left by 3:45 am. But we made it! We are now at the North Dakota State Fair! This pic us of Juan and Melodee in the livestock building. We then went and consumed large amounts of "fair food" such as:
Foot Long Corn dogs
Cinnamon rolls
Elephant Ears
Turkey legs
Milk shakes

And that was just me and Juan :)
We hung out in the park and met slot of nice folks. Tonight will be alot of fun

We are playing in a couple hours. Tonight Eric Timms is with us. He is a painter / speaker and he rocks. We've had him come and share with our students at eagles landing this past year.

Waiting....

Well it's 1:04 in the morning and we are at the Atlanta airport... For a flight that was supposed to leave at 11... And we are not leaving til 3 am...

We are headed to minot north Dakota to play at the state fair. Our delays are going to make of really tight so please pray that we make it.

Chris and andy are making lemonade out of our lemons by conquering a few new video games while I add new apps to my iPhone. (loving it!)

Just downloaded the light saber and the cowbell program. Yeah... And they ROCK!

Melanie went to the doctor today for chestpains. All tests came back okay but she is resting at home and flying out tommorrow to meet us. Looks like she didn't miss much. Except maybe watching Juan's super heroic powers of falling asleep in any position. I may send a pic soon of his most recent impossible sleeping position.

Str8lin student ministry trip!

Hey everybody!
We are on the ministry trip this week and the student teams are doing great!
Dance team was in the morning paper in troy Alabama. Good stuff

Tonight we head to fbc of Samson Alabama. This is were I was youth pastor while in college. I wrote the beginings of if we are the body, voice of truth, and while you were sleeping at the piano in that church. I've seen 9 students from that youth group go in to be youth pastors and senior pastors in churches around the country. Spent time with six of them last night. God is so awesome.

When we release ministry to the body of Christ, it is then that they find purpose and ownership. They discover their gifts (spiritual and talents). They bloom.

And that's our goal in the lives of these students on this bus right now.

Stirring up the gifts,
Shaking up the world.

Pray for us and if you're anywhere around Samson Alabama, we start at 7 :)

Ministry trip

We are at the Hepzibah baptist church tonight for the ministry team trip.

Got a suprise visit from my niece Nicole.
Nicole goes to Lakeside Baptist church in Birmingham. She rocks!

We are kicking off the service in a few minutes! Should have some pics of the day up soon.

Beaten but not crushed...

We just got dropped off at the milwaukee airport at 4am. We catch a 6am flight to Atlanta so we can lead worship this morning at Eagles Landing.

Man I'm so tired. 3 hours of sleep and tonight we leave for first stop of the ministry team trip.

Last night at Lifest was amazing!
Got to spend some time with Bob Lenz and talked thru our trip to Alaska in august. Crowns will play in two cities: Anchorage and Fairbanks. Then Juan and I will join Bob on a small 6 seater plane into a bush town. There we will lead a youth ministry seminar. I'm stoked about that.

Juan and Melodee look so nice in this picture. Especially for 4:30 am. Ha

They are amazing. Whatever the call of ministry is they are always up for the challenge. No complaining. Just happy to be a part of what God is doing. I love them!

What is God calling you to? Does it seem challenging? I can tell you that knowing I'm going home to lead worship in my church and that this is the ministry God has placed me in... Sure makes it easier to face the more trying of days.

God has a ministry for you too!
You've got the gifts, the talents, the personality - everything you need for the ministry God has prepared for you. Seek Him out!
