I'll do it for a week. I do have to watch the Panthers game on Friday, but other than that, I'll cut off TV. Facebook will be tough. This will be fun, though. Thanks, Mark.

Okay, I'm in! I'm actually looking forward to this. My computer is now queued with several hours of good, Christian music (sorry, I had to include your albums along with it!) The TV is off, internet use will be decreased, time in God's Wprd will be a priority for a week (and hopefully beyond!)

I'm going to try for a week, too. I'm a high schooler who just recently went to his first camp and loved it. At camp, I realized the benefit of no media for a week, but never carried that home at all. I'm not going to have a problem with the TV (we don't even have cable or satellite) or the Internet (I promise that I'll only check emails), but the music will be more of a problem. I never listen to any songs with bad lyrics or anything like that, but I tend to listen to far many more secular songs than Christian songs. I am officially taking Enya off for a week (except for her more Christian songs because she actually is Catholic).
Anyway, thanks for the challenge. I hope to be as diligent as I'm sure my brother (Ian - see last comment) will be :-).

That sounds like a great idea especially now a days cuz we just seem to be always busy on other things and forget to pay attention to who matters the most and that's the almighty powerful God. When you get a chance please be in prayer for the youth in my tiny town that really need a big awakening. The older folks seem to be waking up but the youth is what's being left out. I've been praying for guidance cuz I have had soo many ideas it's not funny but there's some problems I've run into cuz I don't want to hurt people feelings. Keep our youth and me in your prayers. BTW - My NEW Crowns Christmas CD is stuck in my car CD player :( So I may not have a choice on the grounding, but PRAISE GOD I have K-Love in my kitchen!

I'll take this challenge with our CSC (Casting Soldiers for Christ) this is why The US Army Freedom Salute Award was given to you for teaching us how to make our relationship with our Lord more down to his level. It's how we should bring him more closer to his love. It's very tough to have a "get away time" and take time out to be with God in worship alone with God and not the world events, trainning, and all that Army stuff. We should see our lives take a change by taking this challenge. I'll take some soldiers camping for God. Hope a list of song will be posted for us to use if Crown is grounded! One good song by Matthew West "Stop the World" would be a good one" This will help me with some ideas for our troops here at FT. Gordon. Thank you Mark for meeting you, Juan and Chris on my way home for Christmas. It made the long trip home great.

Hey Mark. Just thought that I would let you know that you should check out Ustream.tv
Its a way for you to do a live biblestudy over the internet by broadcast using your webcam, and you can record at the same time. Our pastors at our churc have recently started using this tool and it might be a way for you to reach hundreds more students across the nation. And they can chat live with you. MercyMe does this during their concerts.

Count me in! DOn't watch a lot of tv now anyways... music is easy, kids and I are always singing.. facebook might be hard since I use it for the equine rescue... but I can cut down usage!

Mark, we've met in Columbia SC. You actually thanked ME for working for World Vision- trust me, everything I do is ALL of God and none of me. I have quite a story of trial and tribulations. I've been Daniel in the den, Job and Daniel's pals in the fire. I've been thru horrors and abuse of every kind and I've let God use it for His glory. I have an awesome gift of being able to relate to kids (helps that I'm wild & zany). "I've been there kid, let me tell you what Jesus has done for me; if I can make it anyone can". I'm at a place in my life where I can praise him in the storm. I will abandon it all for the sake of the call. I have a thirst for righteousness and I want to be filled. I can think of no greater opportunity to spend time in the word with you, growing and continuing to stay on fire for the Lord. Time is short and we must do all we can to reach the unsaved. If I have spelling errors in this message it's b/c I too have adult ADHD and have forgotton to take my Adderall today LOL (very frustrating eh?)
